The Student Business Exhibition is an in-house business show that takes place annually at Regent College London. The exhibition gives students the opportunity to showcase their businesses in the semi-formal structure of a business show.
Utilising B2C and B2B models, the exhibition allows students to potentially source new clients, to network and to inspire and support their colleagues who are aspiring business owners, giving others the benefit of their own experience of setting up and running operational businesses.
While recruitment for Regent College London Student Business owners is underway, several spaces have already been taken up by students whose business ventures include: catering, interior decorating and language learning initiatives.
Each exhibiting student is offered advice from Regent College London staff such as Juan Carlos, author of ‘Marketing B2B’ who specialize in Business and Entrepreneurship, and George Marful, Regent College London Social Media Manager who supports students with advice on SEO.
In addition to advice, students who participate gain practical experience that will enrich their CV and act as practice and preparation for a number of external business shows that students’ will then be supported to apply for.
Abdirahman Farah, a Kingsbury student and head of the organisational committee for the 2020 Student Business Exhibition writes:
“This business exhibition will give our student entrepreneurs the opportunity to promote their business and inspire other students. I am delighted to be involved as an entrepreneur myself and look forward to seeing what businesses my fellow student entrepreneurs will present”
The Student Business Exhibition is organised by the Thinking into Character Student Forum with the support of Director of studies for Thinking into Character, Akosua Bonsu, who writes: “Our students are doing exceptional things, and we are delighted to be in a position to support their endeavors.”
In line with the TIC methodology, The Student Business Exhibition provides a platform for students that facilitates their personal, professional and academic growth and enhancement.
