Regent College London wins award for excellence in student collaboration
We are delighted to announce that Regent College London has won the 2019 Independent Higher Education Award for Excellence in Student Collaboration.
This award for Excellence in Student Collaboration recognises Regent College London as exemplary at establishing a partnership or collaboration between students and staff that enhance a students’ sense of belonging and support student retention and success.
Specifically, the judges sited the collaboration between staff and students established via our Thinking into Character Pilots held in June 2019, and the subsequent structures that emerged from this direct student engagement, including Thinking into Character Student Forum, Thinking into Character Business Fair and Extracurricular activities, as key features in their selection.
We are equally delighted that Regent College London was shortlisted for a 2019 Independent Higher Education award for Breakthrough Course innovation in Delivery and Design. This is further recognition of the fact that as a college, we are offering a teaching and learning experience that is at the forefront of pedagogy.
The award ceremony was attended by Dr. Selva Pankaj (Creator of Thinking into Character), Akosua Bonsu (Director of Studies) Miren Shah (Business Relationship Manager) and Hussein Al-Haddad (member of the TiC Student forum and Pilot participant).
Commenting on the award ceremony, Hussein wrote “It was a fantastic evening. I met many interesting people and it was amazing to represent Thinking into Character! I am so please that we won. Thinking into Character helped me to develop my confidence and take steps towards my dream goals.”
